Born in Hong Kong, Theresa grew up in Taipei. She completed her BA degree in French at University College London and a MA in French literature at the University of Paris-Sorbonne. Theresa studied photography at SPEOS, the Paris Photographic Institute and completed her PhD at the Centre for Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths University of London. Theresa has extensive experience as a freelance photographer in the fashion and music industries, shooting album covers for Sony Music, Rock Records, EMI and fashion editorial work for FHM, GQ and Men’s Uno. She is Senior Lecturer in Photography at the London School of Film, Media and Design at the University of West London. In her teaching, Theresa is interested in the integration of theory and practice. She is also an advocate of analogue photography.
