A 140-page of bilingual writings with a DVD of works by 7 videographers, this Manifestos project documents the process of Linda Lai and 8 young artists sorting our, in 3 years, their reasoning for experimental actions in art and in what ways videography is a unique critical response to the milieu in which they live. The project set off with “Micro Narratives,” Lai’s pedagogic experiment in videomaking, and resulted in individual manifestos to mark their collaborative individuation. It is just the beginning of many possibilities to come. The Manifesto project is published by Floating Projects, fully funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
